Batley Lego workshop

Were you or your children Lego lovers?

Do you have some little bricks taking up space in cupboards and attics?

Batley Library and Information Centre are looking for people to donate their once loved Lego so that a new generation of youngsters can enjoy it.

The library wants to use the donated Lego at a free weekly Lego workshop for children.

Lego is a fantastic toy for encouraging children to unleash their creative side and hone their fine motor skills; it is also lots of fun.

However, as any Lego fan knows there is nothing more frustrating than not having enough bricks to complete your mini grand design – so all donations big or small are welcome.

Similar workshops have been taking place at Slaithwaite Library where they have around 40 people turning up to each session, which takes place on a Saturday.

If you have any Lego which you would like to donate, please drop it into to Batley Library and Information Centre, Market Place, Batley, WF17 5DA or contact Amanda Ambler on 01924 326021 for more information.
