Road resurfacing on Meltham Road, Netherton 


road resurfacingWe will be resurfacing  Meltham Road – through the centre of Netherton from Monday 22 June.

The work should be completed within one week, weather permitting.

Most of the work will take place between between House 366 and Delph Lane from 7pm to 11pm and traffic restrictions will be in place.

There will also be no access to from Moor Lane and Chapel Street  so at these times users should find alternative routes if possible.

Temporary traffic signs will be at the points of the closures in advance.

Alternative routes will be signed and drivers are asked to leave extra time for their journey.

The diversion route is:

B6108 Meltham Road, B6108 Huddersfield Road, Meltham Mills Road, Knowle Lane, C574 Meltham Road, Moorbottom, Lane Head, Westgate, Eastgate,  A6024 Woodhead Road, A616 Huddersfield Road, A616 Woodhead Road, A616 Parkgate, A616 Woodhead Road, A616 Bridge Street, the unaffected length of Meltham Road , and vice versa.

The council aims to keep disruption to a minimum.  Local residents and businesses will be informed of developments and where possible, assistance or measures to minimise disruption and disturbance will be provided.
