Opportunities for teenagers thanks to NCS

NCS - National Citizen Service

NCS - National Citizen ServiceCalling all bored teenagers!

Spend the summer making your college, university or job applications stand out from the crowd by taking part in National Citizen Service (NCS).

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for 16-17 year olds. It takes place during school holidays, for two to three weeks and will help you develop your character and gain key skills needed for employment like resilience, confidence and leadership. Not only that, but NCS looks great on CVs and is now recognised by UCAS.

Government backing means that it costs just £50 or less to take part in NCS and bursaries are available on a case by case basis,  with support provided for young people with additional needs.

2015 sees Kirklees become a local delivery partner for the NCCS programme and spaces are available now for summer 2015. But you’ll have to hurry as spaces are limited and are guaranteed to fill up fast.
