What is Alternative Market?
The Alternative Market is part of the national ‘Teenage Market’ project which started in Stockport in 2012 and has been described by retail guru Mary Portas as “innovative and inspiring”. The Alternative Market organisers have already held successful markets in the town centre. Organisers said the opportunity to focus on the performers and work with Byram Arcade was too good to miss and hope this is the first of many more music events for young people in the town centre.
