Tea & Cake – the story behind Tolson Memorial Heritage Garden

Tea and coffee

Tea and coffeeThe story behind the Memorial Heritage Garden at Tolson Museum in Huddersfield will be the topic for the Tea & Cake afternoon at the museum on Wakefield Road on Wednesday, 11 November 2015.

The Garden was a project by the Friends of Tolson and Ravensknowle to remember the service men and women who have lost their lives since the end of World War II.

The aim was to create a place of tranquility and contemplation.

The Tea & Cake session will be a chance to learn about the efforts to raise the necessary funding, the finalising of the design, the involvement of the local community and schools and how the garden has been used since it opened to the public in October of last year.
