Kirklees Apprenticeship Awards 2016

Help us to celebrate the achievement of young people who are doing, or have recently completed an apprenticeship.

We know that there must be lots of the hard working apprentices in Kirklees, we just need you to tell us who they are!

So whether you know an apprentice that deserves to be rewarded for what they do at work or college, or you have been blown away by an apprentices success – why not nominate them for an award?

There are 7 categories for apprentices and people who have finished their apprenticeship.

There is one category for businesses that employ apprentices.

There is one category for people who work with or support an apprentice at work or college.

The award celebrates the success of apprentices who have progressed within their organisation, and offers the opportunity to show off their high level of personal achievement.

Other awards

We know that apprenticeships can’t happen without the support of businesses, colleagues and training providers.  So we are also looking for nominees for the following two awards:

  • Apprentice Employer of the Year
This award is for businesses that are committed to apprenticeships, and can demonstrate how they have contributed to the success of their organisation.
  • Apprentice Mentor of the Year
The mentor of the year could be a business colleague, or it could be a college or university tutor. The winner will need to have supported an apprentice’s career development and shown commitment to leadership. They should be someone who apprentices trust and would go to for advice, technical knowledge and expertise.
