Dewsbury event – Saturday 30 January – road and car park closures
In order to ensure public safety, both ourselves and West Yorkshire Police are providing you with the following update in relation to road closures in Dewsbury Town Centre on Saturday 30 January. They will close for short periods throughout the day between 1pm and 4pm
- Bond Street
- Long Causeway
- Crackenedge Lane
- Commercial Street
- Wakefield Old Road
- Town Hall Way
- Manor Road
- Foundry Street
It is advisable for drivers to consider alternative routes in and around the centre to allow plenty of time to reach their destinations.
It’s important to note that if any roads close, they will reopen as quickly as possible. We are anticipating minutes and not hours.
Car park closures
The road closures may mean that some car parks and on-street parking will be unavailable. Again, this will be kept to a minimum and they will reopen as soon as possible.
- Railway Station (east side) – will be closed from 8am to 6pm
- Bond Street – will be closed from 8am to 6pm
Access to and from the following car parks and roads may be restricted at certain times of the day
- Wakefield Old Road car park
- Wakefield Old Road (street), Town Hall Way and Manor Street
