The great Tolson bake-off
If you know your way around a bundt tin, can whisk up an Italian Meringue or make marvelous macarons, then the Tolson bake-off could be perfect for you.
The Friends of Tolson Museum are holding a competition for bakers of all ages to find the best Easter-themed cakes, buns and biscuits.
Amateur bakers can get a taste of the excitement of ‘bake-off’ at Tolson Museum on Easter Saturday, 26 March 2016.
There are three categories:
Adults: Must bake a slicing cake
Under-12s: Can choose between baking a cake or cupcakes
Under-8s: Can bake either cupcakes or biscuits.
It costs £2.50 to enter and each entry must include a written list of ingredients and the method used to create the cake, buns or biscuits.
All entries need to be brought to the museum between 2pm and 3.30pm on 26 March 2016. Judging will take place at 4pm and the judges are Stephen and Tracy Jackson from T&Cake, in Almondbury.
