Mayor’s Charity cash boost thanks to dog club

The Mayor’s Charity – Diabetes Care – has benefited from a £400 donation thanks to a local dog club.

The Springers Agility & Flyball Club meet at Dryclough Recreation Ground in Huddersfield.

The group meet every Sunday to train their dogs in Flyball or Agility, all the dogs are pets and most of them are rescue dogs.  The group often carry out displays at local shows and galas.

The group raised £400 for the Mayor’s Charity Diabetes Care,  through a variety of activities including raffles.

They presented their cheque to the Mayor, Councillor Paul Kane at a session on Sunday 20 March 2016.

Paul said:

I enjoyed meeting with the members of the club, both two and four legged, and I would like to offer my heartfelt appreciation for the effort they have put into raising this money. I am sure it will be put to great use by my mayoral charity Diabetes Care.”
