You can also guess which wild drug makes a tea to aid digestion on our walk and talk session at Meltham Library on 24 May 2016, 1pm- 3pm.

If you have an interest in health, alternative therapies or plants – you do you could be in for a treat this May.

Join Medicinal Herbalist Sue Salmon and learn about the healing power of hedgerow plants, find out how to  identify commonly used plants, and try out some herbal teas.

Feedback on wild drug walks

  • I learnt such a lot in a very short space of time, my only complaint is I would have liked it to last all day.
  • I hope there will be more walks in the future. Sue is an excellent person at sharing her knowledge.
  • Many thanks for the cordial recipe.  As soon as it stops raining I’m off out to gather flowers!
  • I loved your Wild Drug walk – it was fascinating!  I wish you or Sue could accompany me on all my walks and fill me in on what I’m passing.  Cos that’s not possible(!) I’ve bought a copy of the Wild Drugs book Sue was talking about, to take out and about with me.  Many thanks again
  • For me the walk was just the right length and a good combination of walking and chatting and then stopping and learning. And I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how easily you and Sue worked together; it was fun to have two people leading with different personalities but obviously getting on so well, with your own different angles and stories as well as hard herb facts – with plenty of humour popped in for good measure.
  • So all in all a thoroughly successful event and I thank you for all your work.
  • I really enjoyed the ‘Wild Drugs’ walk, and have been finding all sorts of interesting herbs growing locally, that I didn’t recognize before.
