Celebrating A-Level success in Kirklees 2016
Success for students across Kirklees as they celebrate great news in their A-Level and equivalent vocational education results.
It has been another highly successful year for young people in the district, with a Kirklees average A-level pass rate of 98.7% which is above the national average pass rate of 98.1%. Vocational results are again strong in Kirklees with 99.5% of the results received achieving a level three qualification. These young people are a great potential force for businesses to be able to drive the economy forwards.

“Young people across Kirklees have shown tremendous commitment and dedication in order to achieve their results.
“There are excellent standards in our schools and colleges and we are proud of the work that takes place – young people are helped to achieve and progress in ways that suit each individual.
“I am delighted to be able to celebrate another year of excellent results which will prepare people well for moving towards professional and technical opportunities.
“We are proud of the Ofsted judgements in our colleges and schools in Kirklees, these results further demonstrate the high quality of this provision in the area.

“These young people will have a central role in supporting the economic resilience of our communities, ensuring Kirklees remains a wonderful place to live and work.”
