Large numbers expected for Bobby Campbell’s funeral

The funeral of former international and Huddersfield Town footballer Bobby Campbell will be held at the Huddersfield Parish Church on Thursday 24 November at 1pm.

A large number of people will be paying their respects, and it is expected that a number of coaches will be carrying mourners from Bradford into the centre of Huddersfield.

In order to minimise disruption in the town centre, and provide mourners with easy access to the church,  we have arranged to reserve some parking spaces for the coaches.

The spaces being reserved are on Great Northern Street and the post office end of Lord Street, this means parking in these spaces will be prohibited for any other vehicles. Alternative parking spaces can be found by visiting www.kirklees.gov.uk/parking.

Whilst the council is doing everything it can to reduce disruption in the town centre, motorists are advised to expect possible delays between 11am and 3pm.

The council would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding in advance.
