Civic Ceremony to celebrate Huddersfield Town’s promotion to Premier League

To celebrate the historic victory of Huddersfield Town,  our town will come together for a Civic Ceremony in St. George’s Square from 6.20pm today (Tuesday 30 May 2017). To do this we need to close a few roads, details are below so you can plan ahead.

David Wagner and the First Team squad will travel from the John Smith’s Stadium to St. George’s Square, via Northumberland Street, arriving in the town centre at around 6.20pm.

There, several players, key figures from the Club’s historic season and the Mayor of Kirklees, Cllr Christine Iredale will address fans from the stage.

The Mayor of Kirklees, Cllr Christine Iredale said:

“This is a fantastic achievement for the football team and a brilliant opportunity for Huddersfield too and, as Mayor of Kirklees, I couldn’t be prouder.
