Fun-filled summer activities programme 2017

Our Summer Activities Programme for young people is returning this year and will give our young people the opportunity to meet new friends, be entertained and most of all, have fun during the summer break.
What will the programme include?
A wide range of activities will be on offer for young people aged between 8 – 16 including, sports for all, circus skills, t-shirt printing, nature walks, cooking lessons and lots more.
The activities will be run by experienced youth workers and skilled volunteers.
What should my child bring?
Most activities are free however the Friday night football sessions are £1 per person and the Wacky Days at Shepley Marina in Mirfield are £10 per person. Children don’t need to bring anything for the activities and should wear sensible clothing, footwear and bring a waterproof jacket and a drink.
Here’s a selection of activities on offer:
Wacky Days – Shepley Marina, Mirfield
10.30am – 3.30pm, Tuesdays 25 July, 1, 8 August
A selection of activities for young people with disabilities, include DJ workshops, circus skills, digital photography, music, canoeing, cycling and fishing.
Cost: £10 per person. To register for a Wacky Day call 01484 221000 when prompted ask for ‘Julie Martin’.
Yorkshire Mixtures Youth LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender)
