Enterprise competition launched for under 30s
Business grants of up to £300 on offer to support start-up business ideas in this year’s Kirklees Dragons’ Den.
The competition is open to local young people who have a start-up business idea or own a small business that needs some extra finance to push it.
To apply, people must be aged 13-29, operate within Kirklees and have never received a business grant from the council in the past. As part of the decision process, people will be invited to pitch and will need to be able to come to one of the following events;
Batley- Wednesday 18th October
Huddersfield- Thursday 19th October
The competition is being organised by the team in the council who run Huddersfield Alternative Market and anyone interested in applying needs to email to ask for an application form. The application deadline is on Sunday 8th October 2017.
For anyone who is struggling for a business idea but keen to be involved, the team will be running a workshop in September – like their facebook page to be the first to find out more.
