Top tips for our town halls

To mark the latest edition of our town halls what’s on guide being released,  we’ve pulled together our three top tips for great nights out in Kirklees:

You like the unique or unusual

If you like your entertainment on the wilder side we’ve got something for you.

We start with Megaslam Wresting Live on Friday 20 October,  promising lots of action and atmosphere – a great one for the whole family.

Then next year why not explore the ‘other side’ with psychic Sally Morgan on 8 March 2018.

Big names are your bag

If you like to watch your favorite comics live and in person we have you covered.

This year we’ve got An Evening with Billy Pearce on 6 October and Welsh TV funny man Rob Brydon with his latest one man show on Saturday 2 December 2017.

Further into the future but selling out fast is Ed Byrne on Monday 19 March 2018 and finally Sarah Millican on 27 July 2018

And don’t forget 90’s pop duo Go West will be performing on 1 December 2017

Music makes you move

Our town halls make music amazing, they’re intimate compared to the big stadiums, and with amazing acoustics and comfy seats, and a range of musical genres on offer  – they’re worth trying out.

Most Mondays (Huddersfield) and Wednesdays (Dewsbury) you can enjoy a pleasant afternoon of classical music with the lunchtime concert season – check out the brochure for more details.

We have a whole range of brass band concerts coming up,  but if you would like to help others whilst you listen check out Yorkshire Brass and Voices in aid of Parkinson’s UK on 1 October 2017.

If you want something suitable for all the family, and your little ones love a good story, then Orchestra of Opera North’s Stick Man and Room on the Broom is an ideal introduction to the magical world of classical music – book your tickets for 24 October 2017.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then these shows are worth a watch:

Soul Legends 29 September 7.30pm; Halfway to Paradise The Billy Fury Story 20 October 7.30pm and Champions of Rock – Queen Tribute  27 October 7.30pm.

You like a bit of theatre

We have a whole range of great shows from local and national companies including West Side Story; A Night of Dirty Dancing; Oliver, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Wizard of Oz.
