Huddersfield Alternative Market 2017
The Huddersfield Alternative Market is an opportunity for young people (under 30) to try their hand at trading at a local festival market. The market welcomes both experienced stallholders and those who have never done it but would like to have a go.
When and where is the market?
The market is being held on Sunday 12 November at 10:00am at New Street (outside Primark) in Huddersfield town centre.
What kind of stall can I run?
Arts, books, crafts and stationary, fashion, food and drink, games, illustration and design, jewellery, memorabilia, photography, records, toiletries, toys, vintage. Let your imagination run wild!
The price of the stall depends on the market and your age- get in touch to find out more.
Are you a performer?
The alternative market also provides an opportunity for local performers and community groups to showcase their unique skills and talents to a local audience on stage.
Do you run demonstrations or workshops?
If so you could run a workshop encouraging people to be creative, whilst at the same time promoting your own products! The alternative market will also cover the cost of the resources that the public use.
Upcoming Alternative Markets
The Huddersfield Alternative Market will be here again on 9/10 of December. This weekend in December will be Christmas themed and so there will be lots of different festive things going on.
How do I get involved?
If you would like to book a stall or be considered to perform, run a workshop or demonstration zone please email alternative market. You can also check out the Facebook page for more details of what’s going on.
