International Market heading to Huddersfield this March

From Thursday 15 March until Sunday 18 March 2018, New Street and Market Place in Huddersfield will be taken over by food, drink and craft stalls from around the world.

Come along and you’ll find around 50 stalls, open from 9am until 6pm and Sunday 10am until 5pm. And on Saturday we’ll have live music.

You will be spoilt for choice with delicacies from France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, Morocco, as well as Indian, Lithuanian and Thai foods! And don’t forget to leave a little room for all the sweet treats on offer, like freshly-made delicious French crepes.

It’s not all food either…

There will be the chance to browse unique arts, crafts and jewellery stalls. The market will be manned by friendly traders who are more than happy to talk about their products and share their stories. And because it’s St Patrick’s Day weekend some stalls will having an Irish theme too!

When can I visit?

The market is open on Thursday to Saturday  from 9am until 6pm and Sunday 10am until 5pm

  • As a treat for Mother’s Day, my son took us on the Sunday to capture the full international experience. We arrived at 2pm only to find 3 stalls. Exactly how is one cheese stall, one wooden artifices stall and one chutney stall supposed to be a full international experience.
What a disaster and total disappointment. Shame on Kirklees Council, but why should we be surprised. We live in Emley and all roads in and out of Emley are dangerous for both yourself and vehicle. We are robbed of our council tax but see little in return for it

  • Does anyone know the name of the company selling ‘the best macaroons in the world’ at this market?
