Who is Victor Grayson?
Kirklees libraries main event is an author talk about Victor Grayson at Huddersfield Library on 12 March, from 1pm to 2.30pm.
Victor was born in the slums of Liverpool, and spent time as a preacher. He was wounded at Passchendaele, and shook the British establishment when he won the Colne Valley by-election as a socialist in 1907, age 25.
However, Victor became most well-known when, one afternoon in September 1920, he walked out of his apartment and disappeared, never to be seen again.
Sharing the mystery of Victor Grayson
Author David (now Lord) Clark will share the mystery of Victor Grayson. Copies of his book, Victor Grayson: The Man and the Mystery, will also be available for sale and signing.
