Sharing success for Comoodle
Last February, 2017, saw the launch of the Comoodle website that allows community projects to share resources online. It has developed further since the launch and It’s really easy to sign up and use and is already making a big difference in Kirklees.
Lots of things can be found there from meeting rooms and coaching support to giant Jenga and play parachutes. There is no limit to what can be shared and found on this site and it’s all there to make community projects bigger, better and cheaper to deliver.
The platform has over 750 offers of resources, many are offered directly by Kirklees Council but over 50% are now items owned or managed by Kirklees community groups. The website has over 700 registered users and the project has enabled over 800 exchanges of stuff, space and skills to help community groups deliver activities.
Please get involved and join in with the new sharing revolution. Just visit the site, www.comoodle.com and have a look around and create your account in a couple of minutes. Search for what you want, share what you can and tell us your stories. This has been built here in Kirklees and has been fully funded by the US based Bloomberg Philanthropies organisation.
