Jazz at Ravensknowle in July

The last open air concert in the Music in the Garden series at Tolson Museum, Huddersfield, promises to go with a swing.

Jazz and swing in the garden

Playing in the museum’s Heritage Memorial Garden on Sunday afternoon, 8 July, will be the New Orleans Wiggle. The six-piece band from Holmfirth plays old time music from New Orleans and, as well as swing, they will perform an entertaining programme of jazz, blues and spirituals.

Don’t forget to bring a seat

The concert, from 2pm to 4pm, is free to attend. There are some seats in the garden behind the museum in Ravensknowle Park, Wakefield Road, but people are asked to bring their own if possible.

Music in the Garden has been organised by the Friends of  Tolson and Ravensknowle who will serve refreshments before the concert and during the interval.
