Road closures:

Because the festival is such a big event, it’s necessary to close some of the roads in and around St George’s Square. Visit to see the closures in detail but brief details are below:

The link road in front of the Head of Steam Pub will be closed between 30/07/2018 to approx 06/08/2018. Railway Street and St Georges Street will be closed between 31/07/2018 to approx 05/08/2018. St Georges Square will be closed from 02/04/2018 to approx 05/08/2018. John William Street will be closed on Friday and Saturday evenings around 10:00 pm for approximately 1/2 hour to enable festival goers to safely leave St George’s Square at the end of the evening.

Some buses routes and stops are affected by the road closures, visit the Metro website for details.  Two laybys on John William Street will be turned into  a temporary taxi rank and a train station drop off zone with festival stewards at both the layby and the train station steps to guide people and help with bags.
