Slaithwaite Library has moved but not very far!

Slaithwaite Library is celebrating on Saturday 15 September from 10am – 2pm at their new home. Still at Slaithwaite Town Hall but in a new and improved location within the building after a refurbishment, they now have their own entrance at the bottom of Cross Street. Pop in with the family on the day for refreshments and some fun activities.

Something for everyone

For the under 5’s the Elmer the Elephant Library Trail will give them a chance to explore, and for aspiring tech whizzes, an introductory computer coding demonstration is not to be missed. If you are looking for a chance to relax, book folding and origami lessons promise to keep those fingers busy. The Deputy Mayor will also be in attendance at 11am.

A range of resources and fun activities

The library offers free access to books and e-resources, free public access I.T and WI-FI, information and support and a range of events and activities. There are regular weekly story times for under 5s on Mondays 11am- 12pm and a monthly readers group on 2nd Thursday of each month from 5pm – 6pm.  Saturday mornings is Lego club and all ages are welcome.
