Denby Dale By-election results
There was a By-Election in the Denby Dale ward on Thursday 1 November 2018.
The number of votes cast for each candidate was:
1,834 – Will Simpson (Labour)
1,689 – Paula Kemp (Conservative Party)
289 – Alison Emma Baskeyfield (Liberal Democrats)
116 – Isabel Walters (Green Party)
3,928 votes were cast in total and the turnout was 29.86%.
The result means that Labour have gained a seat on Kirklees Council, and Will Simpson is the new councillor for Denby Dale.
