Special guardians invited to shape services

We are working in partnership with Grandparents Plus who are holding an event for all special guardians and those who work with this group of people.

What is a special guardian?

A special guardian is someone who is bringing up either a relative or friend’s child.

Why are Grandparents Plus involved?

Grandparents Plus are in the early development stages of a programme of support services and want to hear first-hand opinions and views – this input will help shape the offer around the ‘Kindship Connected programme’.

What will happen at the event?

The invaluable event will provide information about the services and support that is already available and importantly, what other types of support will help to meet the needs of anyone taking on/working with those who take on this responsibility.

Attendees will also get to meet others and share experiences.

When is the event?

We hope to welcome as many special guardians and people whose job entails working with specials guardians to this free event on Thursday 9 May 2019 from 10.30am – 12.30pm

Where is it?

The Textile Centre, Red Doles Lane, Huddersfield, HD2 1YF.
