New Skills Work curriculum available in September!

If you want to update your skills or try something new and you live in Kirklees. Then you could be eligible to access fully funded courses across the Kirklees district.

How will the courses benefit me?

The NEW Skills Work, Adult Community Learning courses are available to help you to develop, discover new interests and feel more confident.

What do the courses focus on?

• Digital skills
• Family learning
• Working in schools
• Confidence Building
• Volunteering
• Health & Wellbeing
• Personal development
• Skills for employment

Can I access the courses?

To access the courses you must be aged 19+ and out of work or earning less than £16,009 a year.

Where can I view a course timetable?

A full course timetable will be launched in September 2019.

Can I register my interest?

To register your interest in attending a course and to be contacted when they are available please call 01484 221000 (and ask for Skills Work) to speak to a member of the team. Or visit our website.

Funding note

Skills Work is part funded through the European Social Fund, the Education and Skills Funding Agency and delivered through a collaboration of partners across the Kirklees District. It is managed by Kirklees Council and delivered by Crosland Moor Community Centre, Fusion Housing, Kirklees Success Centres, and Paddock Community Trust, Proper Job, Sport Works, S & H Training and the Workers Education Association.
