Cannon Hall Farm Food Festival 2019

On the fringe of Kirklees the Farm is not far from Bretton Park and Clayton West.

The four day event takes place August 23 – 26 and will showcase some of the finest foods the region has to offer.

There will be more than 100 exhibitors showcasing their wares at this event, with plenty of opportunities for tastings and sampling.

Cannon Hall Farm’s Food Festival this August Bank Holiday promises to be a packed event featuring cookery demos, live music, plus a selection of the finest artisan traders Yorkshire has to offer.

There will also be funfair rides and a pop up beach to really get you in the summer spirit.

When is it?

  • Friday 23 August 2019 – 10:00am – 6:00pm, Free entry. £5 parking fee.
  • Saturday 24 August 2019 – 10:00am – 6:00pm, Free entry. £5 parking fee.
  • Sunday 25 August 2019 – 10:00am – 6:00pm, Free entry. £5 parking fee.
  • Monday 26 August 2019 – 10:00am – 6:00pm, Free entry. £5 parking fee.

Cumberfest 2019

A great day for all the family. Including live music from: Kieran & Dom, Skelmanthorpe training Brass band, Middle Set, Charlie Kilner and now OCD.  There will be miniature steam engine rides, bouncy castle, and BBQ plus so much more!

Royd’s Park Miniature Railway

The miniature railway has been in operation for over forty years and has provided the communities of Spenborough and now Kirklees, with enjoyment and entertainment. A ride on the railway is not just a ride but an experience shared by people in parks at the turn of the century. A touch of the past alive today.

Hoot & Holler in concert at The Carlile Institute, Meltham

Hoot and Holler is an appealing young American folk/roots and Americana duo that blends old time Appalachian traditions with fine contemporary songwriting and excellent musicianship on fiddle, guitar and banjo.

Based in Ashville, North Carolina, both Amy Alvey and Mark Kilianski are alumni of the prestigious Berklee College of Music and combine polished musicianship with the grit, drive and soul of their mountain musician heroes. The duo has performed at venues and festivals across the USA and Australia, and this summer will see them embark on their debut tour of the UK.

Sunday 25 August- Doors 7:30pm, concert from 8pm.
