COVID-19 outbreak at a textile manufacturer in Meltham.
Public health officials are working with a textile manufacturer in Meltham after three members of its staff have tested positive for COVID-19.

Kirklees Council and Public Health England are working with Camira Fabrics after three of its nightshift workers at its Meltham Mills site tested positive for Covid-19 after developing symptoms. The three people who tested positive are now recovering at home.
Camira Fabrics reported the cases to Public Health England and have taken a number of precautionary measures including deep cleaning of all machinery and common areas.
The other nightshift workers – approximately 15 people – are being asked to self-isolate for the next two weeks and will all be offered testing at a Mobile Testing Unit on site. A number of individuals have already been tested, with no further positive cases reported at this point.
Anyone else who may have come into contact with the cases outside of work will be followed up by NHS Test and Trace – they may be advised to self-isolate for 14 days.
The company will continue to operate as normal during the daytime under ongoing safety protocols in line with Government guidance.
