Dinosaur hunt

Join us in our library hunting grounds for a roarsome chase to find and contain the escaped Dinosaurs and return them inside the book before it’s too late!

Summer Craft Activities

Come and join us for a summer of creative family fun with crafts every day at Huddersfield Children’s Library. It is all free just drop in!

When? Wednesday 27 July- 3 Septemebr ( except Bank Holiday) Monday- Saturday, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Family Film Screenings 

• Family-friendly films, all rated PG or U, in a unique, traditional setting
• Great value for money with no adverts
• Interval half way with refreshments and ice creams on sale

Archery lessons

Join our activity instructors in learning how to draw the arrow, balance the bow & fire at a distance target – Challenge your family members as to who can score the greatest points. All under cover so no need to worry about damp conditions.

Pond dipping

Explore the ponds in the grounds of Cliffe House, looking out for minibeasts, bugs, and all kinds of pond life, all while learning about the environment.

Books and Bugs Story Trails

Celebrate the wonder of nature and the pleasure of being outdoors on our summer story trails. Tim Hopgood’s My Big Book of Outdoors is the inspiration for our fun family picture trail and bug hunt this summer.

Recommended for families with children up to age 8.

Climbing Wall

Test your skill and strength on our climbing wall. Suitable for children age 6+. Fully qualified instructor led session. All equipment provided.
