Santa at Victoria Tower
Santa is back once again to visit Victoria Tower on Castle Hill on Saturday 14 December and Sunday 15 December 2024 from 11:00am – 3:00pm. So why don’t you get wrapped up and visit Santa on this very special weekend just before Christmas.
Please be aware it could be busy for Santa with some queuing expected and the weather can be unpredictable so be prepared.

Christmas Children’s Art Workshop
Christmas Children’s Workshop is suitable for anyone aged 4 and upwards. You can make painted snowmen ornaments, silk Christmas cards, 3D cards and hanging decorations for your tree. No need to book in advance, just turn up on the day and make as much or as little as you like! Free activity will be available and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wild Yuletide
Join Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) this festive season to celebrate creativity, art, delicious food and the great outdoors. Wrap up warm, get your boots and gloves on for a grounding day out at YSP. This year the halls will be decked, the fires lit and the mulled wine warm and ready for you to tuck into, helping you get into the festive spirit with loved ones. With a programme of Christmas craft workshops, tasty festive lunches and dinners, plus magical experiences outdoors for little ones, there is something for everyone to enjoy come rain, snow, wind and crisp sunshine. At the heart of their Wild Yuletide is the luminous Our Colour Reflection exhibition by multi-media artist, Liz West. Experience the much-loved 18th-century Chapel transformed and filled with endorphin-boosting light – a guaranteed pick-me-up. Their shops are filled with exciting new product ranges to help you get some Christmas shopping done during your visit.

Saturday MakerWorld family drop in sessions
MakerWorld sessions are every Saturday throughout the year. Unlock your children’s creativity and drop in to our fun themed sessions in MakerWorld which spark the imagination and inspire children from aged 4- 14yrs. You can drop in anytime between 11am-3pm, no need to book. All sessions are funded by The National Lottery Community Fund so they can be free to you!

Dinky Disco – December 2024
Gather up your mini movers and shakers for a daytime dance party for little ravers and their sleep deprived chaperones! At Dinky Disco a resident DJ spins tracks specially chosen to be enjoyed by little tapping toes and also get big people grooving (sorry no ‘Baby Shark’ here!) Take part in some simple dance activities or bust your own moves with lights, glow sticks and other sensory toys in a fun, club-like atmosphere. Bring out your SANTA BABIES for our Christmas party! Fancy dress encouraged.
