We are calling on all residents to help shape the future of the district by participating in the 2025 Current Living in Kirklees (CLiK) Survey. The survey is a vital tool for gathering Kirklees’ residents feedback that will help to inform decisions on services provided in Kirklees.
The CLiK survey has been commissioned and developed in partnership with West Yorkshire NHS Integrated Care Board, West Yorkshire Police, the University of Huddersfield, Kirklees College and other partners to help understand health and social care, housing, employment and essentially, the quality of life of Kirklees residents.
In previous years, valuable input from the survey has led to significant improvements in key areas such as healthcare, housing, employment support and initiatives aimed at tackling inequality across Kirklees.
The previous survey, conducted in 2021, highlighted important statistics, such as 1 in 5 Kirklees residents had money concerns, 57% of Kirklees residents rate their physical health as good, while 56% say the same about their mental health. 69% of residents are managing financially. However, 10% are financially struggling, with those from BME communities in particular feeling financial pressure.
All Kirklees residents aged 16 and over are eligible and encouraged to take part in the survey.
Councillor Beverley Addy, cabinet member for public health, said:
“Understanding the real-life experiences of our residents is vital to shaping the services that meet their needs. The CLiK survey gives residents a voice in how we improve services like local health, housing, and wellbeing. I’d strongly encourage everyone aged 16 and over to take part — it only takes a few minutes, but the insight it provides will help us ensure support and resources are directed where they can make the biggest difference.”
How to complete the survey
The survey can be completed in two ways, online via the official survey website at www.kirklees.gov.uk/clik2025 or by filling out a paper copy. Paper surveys are available for collection at libraries in Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Dewsbury, and Batley from 27 October and can be returned free of charge in a freepost envelope.
The survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete and the deadline for all completed surveys is 5pm on Wednesday 10 December 2025.
As a thank you for completing the survey, you can choose to enter a prize draw. Ten lucky winners will each receive a digital Love2shop voucher worth £150.
Support is available for residents who require assistance to complete the survey. The survey is available in Braille, large print, and can be requested in different languages by emailing Brightsparks Agency Ltd at email support@cliksurvey2025.co.uk or call 01484 622511.
