Together with West Yorkshire Police, West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, and other partner agencies, we’re raising awareness of anti-social behaviour (ASB), to encourage reporting and offer support to our residents.
There will be multi-agency days of action, high-visibility patrols and public drop-ins happening across the district next week.
This action coincides with ASB Awareness Week (29 June – 5 July), which shines a spotlight on the potential harm caused by anti-social behaviour, and the importance of reporting incidents.

What is anti-social behaviour?
The term includes a range of issues like persistent noise nuisance, vandalism, intimidation, fly-tipping, drug-related activity, aggressive behaviour and other actions that cause harassment, alarm or distress within communities.
These kinds of behaviours can have a significant impact on wellbeing, mental health and feelings of safety in the community.
Michelle Cross, Strategic Director for Adults and Health said:
“Anti-social behaviour is a national issue, but we know the actions of just a few people can be deeply damaging to our communities if it’s not dealt with swiftly.
“By working with our partners on community activities and information sharing like this, we hope to highlight the help available to residents, and encourage early reporting so we can take steps to tackle areas of concern.
“Together we can ensure our residents receive the support they need and that our communities continue to feel safe places to live, work and visit.”
