Covid testing is coming to an end

Enjoy Winter Safely

Covid testing facilities will be closing for the general public at the end of the month across England.

Testing in Kirklees will end on 30 March and this will include our mobile test and collect service. The mobile testing unit at Wards Hill car park in Batley is now closed.

The mobile test and collect team will be handing out testing kits until 30 March, this week’s timetable below.

Further details about testing at high-risk settings and the future of home testing will be provided by the government, and we will update our website when we know more.

Over the next week, our mobile test and collect team will be visiting the locations listed below where you will be able to pick up your home testing kit. Testing will also be available at some of the locations.

Please note, testing kits will be handed out on a first come, first served basis and the team will leave the site once all the kits have been handed out.

Timetable for mobile test and collect locations

The team will be able to answer any questions about testing and how to use the tests should you need help.

Asymptomatic testing

You can also get a lateral flow test at one of the asymptomatic testing sites below if you do not have Covid-19 symptoms.

– Huddersfield Bus Station, 8 Upperhead Row, Huddersfield

– Batley Town Hall, 14 Market Place, Batley

Alternatively, you can visit the NHS website to find your nearest fixed collection point.
