Partnership supports World Mental Health Day 10 October 2020

The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership has been set up to support and work with six local areas (Bradford District and Craven,  Calderdale, Harrogate, Kirklees, Wakefield and Leeds) to support the delivery of a number of plans including a five year forward view of mental health, the NHS long term plan and a five year plan for people with mental health, learning disabilities and autism.

World Mental Health Day, 10 October

Saturday is World Mental Health Day. 1 in 4 of us will experience problems with our mental health at some point in our lives. There is no escaping that 2020 has put additional strain on many people’s mental health and wellbeing, but it’s important to reach out and talk about how we are feeling, whether it’s to friends and family or connecting with a local support services.

Infection rates rise in Kirklees but restrictions are unchanged

Rates of COVID-19 infections have continued to rise in Kirklees according to data published by Public Health England.

The local data shows that the rate of COVID-19 infection in Kirklees has increased by 20.2% over the past week. In the last seven days where data is available, 89.3 per 100,000 people in Kirklees tested positive for COVID-19, compared to last week when it was 74.3 per 100,000. The increase mirrors trends across Yorkshire and England over recent weeks.
