How are rises in the cost of living affecting you?

Your budget, your say

It’s time to have your say on the council’s budget for 2023/24.

Have your say

Tell us about your priorities for Kirklees and help us take crucial decisions on finance and funding.

We’re also asking about how rises in the cost of living are affecting you and how we can help.

Please take some time to give us your thoughts and help us make Kirklees an even better place to live and work.

Your thoughts will help councillors decide how best to support you and your community.

Complete the survey.

Councillor Paul Davies, Cabinet Member for Corporate Services said:

“We are facing the worst cost of living crisis in a generation. As a council, we need to face up to those financial pressures as we plan our next annual budget. We also want to know about how the crisis is affecting residents so we can support people who need it.

That’s why I’m asking residents to take part in the council’s budget survey. The survey is your opportunity to talk about your challenges and help us make the right decisions for you.”

All the information you give us will help us put together our budget for next year and we will publish a summary of the results.

Drop-in locations are available across Kirklees for those who would like to complete the survey in person, see below for further details.

The consultation closes on Sunday 6 November.
