Celebrating the history of St George’s Square, ‘Memories of Our Square’ is a three-year project funded by the High Street Heritage Action Zone programme, a government funded scheme led by Historic England, supported further by Kirklees Council. It is led by a consortium which includes arts organisations, local businesses and institutions and voluntary groups. Kam’s Corner will also have stalls selling Windrush booklets, Caribbean books and T-shirts.

- Black Health Awareness Day
Bringing attention to important social, health, and environmental needs and issues facing Caribbean communities. The event provides information about a range of health and wellbeing topics including; being cancer aware, sickle cell, Black women’s health, young Black people’s health needs and eating well. We will also raise awareness about the menopause. There will be stalls including Caribbean/vegan food, greeting cards, Windrush booklets, Caribbean books and T-shirts.
