Five good reasons to try a lunchtime concert in Kirklees
David Pipe, Organist at Huddersfield Town Hall, has assembled some of the country’s finest organists to perform on the Hall’s famed Father Willis organ this season.
With special guest artists, a Christmas concert, and music from the Harry Potter movie, the season promises a diverse and interesting programme. And with winter approaching it’s a good way to get out during the day to socialise in daylight hours in a pleasant and warm environment.
What do the audience think?
Ann Denham, former Councillor and Kirklees Mayor said:
“Music is such an important part of Huddersfield’s heritage, and our town hall has an amazing and historic organ. “I have a season ticket to the Kirklees Concert Season and the lunchtime concerts are an important part of the programme. I feel comfortable coming on my own since becoming a widow two years ago.”
Jacky Sutcliffe:
“The lunchtime concerts offer a wide variety of musical pieces, and we are lucky to have internationally renowned musicians performing in Huddersfield.
“As we approach winter, it’s nice to know these concerts offer a chance to get out of the house, meet for lunch with friends and enjoy the music.”
