Latest round of funding open for Growing Great Places crowdfunding programme

Growing Great Places.

We’ve opened the latest round of funding for our Growing Great Places programme. We run this programme in partnership with Spacehive – a community crowd funding platform.

The programme is open to everyone who wants to take part in making the places where they live, work and play better. The towns, villages and communities are the strength of Kirklees, so local people in local places are encouraged to come up with more great ideas.

You might have a little idea that can have a big impact by bringing a place together. Or you might need some help growing support for an ambitious project that’s just getting started. A crowdfunding project through Growing Great Places could have a positive impact on your local community.

If you are a group from anywhere in Kirklees who are aiming to start crowdfunding this summer, you could receive a pledge of up to £5,000.

Dozens of local groups and organisations have already been successful, with their projects being backed by over 2,500 local people and organisations.

Online workshop – Wednesday 1st October at 12 midday

Join our free online workshop where you can ask questions and get advice about running a successful crowdfunding campaign.

This workshop will include breakout rooms where you can get the support that’s right for you. So whether you’re almost ready to get started with your project, or just thinking about some ideas, this workshop is for you.

There is also the opportunity to find out about other crowdfunding pots open for our Spring 2025 round, including Woven in Kirklees and Batley Community Events Fund.
