Oakwell Hall to Host ‘Mother’s Day in Bloom’ Installation with The Kirkwood
Oakwell Hall’s historic Walled Garden will be transformed into a vibrant sea of pink this spring as it hosts Mother’s Day in Bloom, a striking floral art installation created in partnership with The Kirkwood.
Running from 8 March to 12 April, the installation will feature one thousand bespoke metal peonies arranged throughout the Walled Garden, forming a striking carpet of blooms against the Hall’s beautifully preserved 17th‑century backdrop. The display offers visitors a peaceful space to reflect, remember and celebrate loved ones.
Members of the public are invited to dedicate a peony in memory of, or in celebration of, someone special. Each dedication becomes part of the installation, making the artwork a personal and community led tribute in the leadup to Mother’s Day.led tribute in the leadup to Mother’s Day.
