There can be lots of reasons for road works including resurfacing, making repairs, improving layouts, and replacing traffic signage and markings.

Whatever the reason we aim to minimise disruption and complete work as efficiently as possible.

Transpeninne Route Upgrade (TRU)

The Transpennine Route Upgrade is a Network Rail project. Whilst the works are underway, there will be some disruptions to rail travel and on our roads.

The A641 Northgate, under the viaduct, will be closed Monday-Friday from Monday 19 October to Friday 30 October.
