Kirklees Council Election Results May 2015

The results of the District Council elections in Kirklees see Labour strengthen their position on the council,  but not enough to make an overall majority.  The Labour party gained 2 seats, these were won by Judith Hughes in Almondbury and Nosheen Dad in Dewsbury South.

The new makeup of the council is as follows: Labour have 34 seats (a gain of 2), Conservative have 18 seats (no change), Lib Democrats have 10 seats (a loss of 1), Green party have 4 seats (a loss of 1), and Valley independents have 3 seats (no change).
