A Grand Northern Ukulele Festival GNUF 2019
GNUF is a festival famous for its innovation and good fun. In 2019, you’ll find the familiar opportunities to see great performances by world-leading performers like Jake Shimabukuro, Craig Chee & Sarah Maisel and many more.
There will be chances take part in loads of jams, singalongs, conversations and more. A brilliant chance to see some of the world’s top ukulele artists to town including much-loved favourites and some acts never before seen at a UK ukulele festival.

Holmfirth Festival of Folk
A lively weekend of music, concerts, street events, workshops and children’s events, plus the spectacular Morris parade. The festival hosts free bands in almost all the pubs, sessions and singarounds, spoken word, childrens’ schools concert and workshops – something for everyone to enjoy.

Kirklees 10k Challenge 2019
Kirklees 10k Challenge is a 10km race for people of all abilities to enjoy the challenge of completing a 10km run for the first time, or to get a new personal best time.
The route starts and finishes at Cathedral House, St. Thomas Road, Huddersfield HD1 3LG, and is mostly on a scenic canal towpath from Huddersfield to Linthwaite and back.

Golcar Lily Day 2019
Why not spend the weekend celebrating an annual event which is a celebration of life in Golcar.

Family Farm Fun Day
Storthes Hall Park is moo-ving in a new direction at its latest family farm fun day with arts & crafts planned.
There will be no horsing around at this free event – just wholesome outdoor “fun on the farm” with furry and feathered friends to pet and say hello to.
Families would be baa-rmy to miss this great event with a llama, pygmy goats, pigs and sheep amongst other two and four-legged friends enjoying a day out at Storthes Hall Park, near Kirkburton, Huddersfield.
As well as the animals there will a tractor and free arts and craft activities to keep the kids entertained, coupled with a talented face painter who is bound to be busy.
