Holmfirth Arts Festival 2019
One of the best small festivals in Yorkshire is held in Holmfirth, in the heart of the Holme Valley, surrounded by the glorious Pennie hills.
Now in its 11th year, Holmfirth Arts Festival celebrates its picturesque location by inviting the best local, national and international artists to respond to the theme of landscape in all its diversity.
Audiences are in for a treat with three days of concerts, spoken word, theatre, workshops, walks, film, exhibitions, installations, street theatre, circus and a fantastic Textile Banner Parade at 2pm on Sunday 16 June created by Edgelands Arts, with people from across the Holme Valley in partnership with WOVEN.

Castle Hill Litter Pick Day
Open to anyone who wishes to come along and help litter pick on Castle Hill and make this Local Nature Reserve once again fit for wildlife and visitors to enjoy! Gloves, litter pickers, bags and refreshments will be provided on the day.

Early morning madness – walk to catch the sunrise near Marsden
Take a walk on the moor, catch the sunrise and end this 7 mile walk with a well-earned breakfast.
Meet the Walk Leader at Marsden railway station.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Guided tours of Tolson Museum
Join volunteer guides for a fascinating tour of Tolson Museum, where you will discover more about the people who once lived and worked here. Tours last approximately 40 minutes and are family friendly.

Charity Summer Fair and Concert
On Saturday 15th June 2019 from 10.00am, there will be a Charity Summer Fair at Huddersfield Parish Church and in St Peter’s Gardens on Byram Street.
There will be several charities involved including Forget-me-not Hospice, Save the Children, RSPCA, Kirkwood Hospice, Macmillan Cancer and Age UK.
There will be craft and other stalls, games, a bouncy castle, food and drink, including craft ales.
Following the fair, there will be a music concert involving Huddersfield Parish Church Choir and Emley Brass Band from 6.00pm in the church. There will be a small admission charge for the concert.
