Showaddywaddy in concert Let’s Rock ‘n’ Roll

The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World’ is a bold statement but Showaddywaddy has lived up to that title for the last 4 decades!

Formed in the 1970s in Leicester from several local bands, they have sold more than 20 million records and have toured all corners of the World extensively.

Their live show is dynamic and uplifting featuring all of their biggest hits, many of which reached number one in the pop charts of Europe. ‘Under The Moon of Love’, ‘Three Steps to Heaven’, ‘Hey Rock & Roll’, ‘When’, ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Pretty Little Angel Eyes’ and many, many more.

So come and join the ‘Dancin’ Party’… ‘You’ve Got What It Takes’!

Music on the Greenhead Park Bandstand

Come on down to Greenhead Park for another free concert in the Friends of Greenhead Park ‘Music on the Bandstand’ programme of summer afternoon music.

The concert on Saturday 29 June at 2pm features Musica Mirfield’s Senior & Intermediate Wind Bands and everyone is welcome to come along to enjoy the music in the beautiful surroundings of the park.

Some seating will be available – or bring your own folding chairs or rugs. There will be a collection for the Friends of Greenhead Park to help cover costs.

Saturday 29 June 2019 – 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Kirklees Refugee Week 2019

Refugee Week takes place every year across the world in the week around World Refugee Day on the 20 June. In the UK, Refugee Week is a nationwide programme of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK, and encourages a better understanding between communities.

Activities and events are organised by local organisations and groups in Kirklees.

Race for Life in Greenhead Park 2019 – Huddersfield 5k

Huddersfield Race For Life is returning to its roots with an exciting and new course at Greenhead Park in the heart of Huddersfield.

The recently refurbished park offers a brilliant 5k double lap route through the well maintained and picturesque grounds. The route will be mainly on tarmac pathways and some grass areas. There will also be some slight inclines to deal with on route due to the undulating paths in the park.

A Summer Concert presented by The Lindley Band

The Lindley Band are proud to host their annual summer concert with special guests , cornet soloist Mr Phillip McCann and organist Mr Simon Lindley altogether on stage with the hosts The Lindley Band.
