Castle Hill tower is open for the summer

The astonishing and historical Victoria Tower on our Green Flag Award winning Castle Hill, is once again open every day in the summer holidays from 20 July to 1 September, 12pm to 4pm.
The site continues to welcome visitors from all over the world because of its stunning views across the town, and fantastic walks for all the family. It has already attracted over 4,000 visitors since Easter.
Councillor Rob Walker, Cabinet Member for Parks and Grounds said:
“We are looking forward to Victoria Tower opening again this summer so visitors have the opportunity to enjoy this special place. We also cater for school visits for pupils to learn more about Castle Hill’s history and ecology.
It’s important we do what we can to protect the wildlife and do our best to keep visitors safe. I’d like to remind people that lighting barbeques or fireworks and releasing sky lanterns is prohibited and can be extremely dangerous. Anyone found to be participating in such action will face a fine.”
How much is it?
Admission charges to Victoria Tower: £2.00 for adults, 60p for children and £4.00 for families (2 adults and 2 children).
When is it open?
Open every day from 20 July to 1 Sept 12pm to 4.30pm. Free for Kirklees Passport holders.
