Wish You Were Here

Bagshaw Museum is hosting the last ever performance of Wish You Were Here, on Sunday 8 September.

What is ‘Wish You Were Here’?

‘Wish You Were Here’ takes a dip into the history of swimwear. As well as entertaining stories and vintage costumes covering 200 years of seaside fashion, the presentation takes a look at the bracing bathing of the 18th Century, knitted cozzies and kiss-me-quick hats.

Why is this the last performance?

Inspired by Bagshaw Museum’s seaside gallery, it has been a popular part of the company’s regular programme for several years. However, due to the company making way for new presentations, the company has announced this will be the last performance.

Is there places still available for the performance?

Places are still available for this fantastic performance, which is one of the many historical costume presentations by the fabulous History Wardrobe.

The performance starts at 2pm and admission is £12.50 per person. Places can be booked at Bagshaw Museum, Wilton Park, Batley, or by telephoning 01924 324765.
