Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival 2019

The Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival 2019 is back! With something for all tastes and interests, this festival is heaven for food and drink fans.

The festival has over 100 stalls offering a chance to browse, sample and buy some of the best produce from the local and regional area.

Enjoy live entertainment that is on during the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival. This festival is a perfect day out for families.

Cluedunnit- A musical murder mystery

Cluedunnit is a brilliant musical comedy in the style of a semi-staged ‘radio play’ in two 40–minute parts with music written and arranged by Gordon Balmforth BEM and script by Janet Cowley.

It’s not just Rev Green, Mrs Peacock or Miss Scarlet under suspicion, but the accent of Le Comte de Bleu is less than convincing, too. We would love to say it’s no surprise that DI Grey and DS Gray are easily confused about the identity of the murderer…

Walking with the First Harvest

Join the Castle Hill Ranger on a FREE 6 mile walk to celebrate the arrival of Lughnasadh (pronouced loo’nass’ah) which is traditionally one of the first harvest festivals and is connected with the reaping of first corn and celebrating Mother Earth and the abundance of nature.

Little Blue Monster

Ahoy there, land lubbers – hop aboard the good ship Mirabel and join our rollicking adventures on the high seas.
Pirate Pearl lives with her crusty old crew, Barnacle the dog and Mr Puskins the cat. One day, Pearl finds a stowaway on-board ship. It’s a baby monster, but, if you feed a baby monster, it grows into a big, clumsy monster.

With songs, puppets and live music, Little Blue Monster (Lost & Found) present this fantastic family show will have you singing along, dancing in the aisles and laughing till your sides split.

Sound Design for Media

Join audiovisual professional Aiwan Obinyan for a weekend course on sound design for film, theatre and TV!
Sound design is at the very heart of a film, theatre or TV show, when done well it has the power to make us feel a wide range of emotions from fear to sadness and joy to pain.

This 2-day course will immerse you in the world of sound design. You will learn both the technical and creative skills required to create sounds that enhance the drama on stage and on screen. Using synthesisers and existing sounds you will use Logic Pro X to create your own original sounds and soundscapes to enhance the action in a theatre production (scripts will be provided).

You will learn how to communicate emotion and meaning through sound design whilst working in state of the art facilities using industry standard equipment to create mind-bending sounds and soundscapes.
