Kirklees Shared Lives Have A Busy Summer

Over the summer the Kirklees Shared Lives team were busy raising the profile of the scheme across the borough attending lots of community events and talking to people about the service and how they too can help a vulnerable adult in their community.

What does the Shared Lives Team do?

The Shared Lives team recruit, train and support carers to offer support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older people and people with mental health needs the opportunity to live with a carer in their home.

How can I find out more?

The team continue to work hard to raise the profile of Shared Lives and there are a number of drop in session taking place in Holmfirth, Denby Dale, Kirkburton, Ravensthrope, Cleckheaton and Heckmondwike.
