Bonfire Night is nearly upon us and we are getting prepared
This year we are excited to be bringing a firework event to Huddersfield, the privately run event will be taking place in Greenhead Park.
Cllr Walker Cabinet member for culture and the environment said:
“We know that there has been demand for a large scale event in Huddersfield for some time, and when Showtime Events approached us about hiring the park we saw an exciting opportunity to make this happen.”
How much do the tickets cost?
The event if booked in advance costs £5 per person or £16 for a family of four (plus booking fee), and includes two firework displays, a character meet and greet, a fire breather and a fire stunt show.
“As part of our commitment to supporting organisations to put on events in Kirklees we have agreed to close the park an hour earlier than normal, at 5pm. This means anyone still in the park will be requested to leave, and only people with a ticket will be permitted to enter after that time” Cllr Walker added.
We also want to remind people that the safest way to enjoy fireworks is at an organised display.
“I know that there are lots of great events taking place across Kirklees and we want to be able to shout about all of them. So if you are organising an event in Kirklees and want to let people know about it, I would encourage you to sign up to our community directory. Events in the directory are regularly shared through our social media accounts so it’s a great way to let people know about what you are doing.” Cllr Walker continued.
