Here for You

Here for You is a unique programme designed in collaboration with Jobcentre Plus, Kirklees Council and Third Sector Leaders to provide intensive support to claimants that are far away from entering work to support them on their journey to learning and employment.

What does the project work on?

Established in May 2019, this project works on building an individual’s confidence and ultimately enable them to lead a more independent life.  It supports them to feel less socially isolated by addressing the barriers stopping them from completing everyday tasks.

What support is provided?

Here for You achieves this by offering a bespoke package of support for each individual based on their needs. Participants will receive support to access to services such as health, housing, and debt advice to become more independent and lead more stable lives.

The type of support given can vary between, one to one mentoring, a group advocacy service and specialist support where mainstream provision is not an option. People will be supported to make positive life choices, access volunteering opportunities and engage with community based activities and training and. This support will help them to grow in confidence and become more resilient.

Over 18 months Here for You will work with 100 claimants with the most complex needs to access support and take positive steps towards a more independent life.
